Billy Forshaw was born in Liverpool and was brought up in Bootle. After two years'
national service in Hong Kong, he returned to the UK and trained at Padgate College,
where he went on to have a long and successful career in teaching mathematics and
coaching athletics in Leeds. His strong family roots remain established in Bootle,
Waterloo, Kirkdale and Walton.He died on March 20th 2008,eight weeks later
'More Scouse,Vicar!' was published.He didn't get to hold the book in his hand,
I had that pleasure.
